* The internet-based Recoveri Asset Register offers level 4, 128-bit encrypted security, which is the same level of security provided by banking websites. Only authorised users authenticated by means of username and password have access to the database.

* The SAPS also has access to a national database of vehicles that are equipped with microdot technology. This means that when stolen vehicles tagged with Recoveri Dots are recovered, ownership can be immediately and effectively traced via the national database.
